Greetings ~

When I closed down my hobby shop in 1999, rather than have a big sale, I brought all the stock home and spent about two years selling it off on eBay. I decided to keep several model kits, amoung other items for myself. This 1934 Ford Streetrod kit was one of them. It's taken me 22-years but I finally decided to build it. I hate to hurry.
Actually, I was not going to build this one as it is sort of a cheap, skill-1 kit. But I had nothing to do lately and I have always been a sucker for the styling of the '34 Fords. So, as I am 70-years old now and going through my second childhood, actually, I never got through my first yet, I figured since this kit is geared to ages 8+, I shouldn't have any problems with it.
This is a SnapTite kit by Revell-Monogram. I am sure it's a discontinued kit and it dates to 1999. The neat thing about these kits is that they come fully painted and decaled. You do not have to tounch a paintbrush. However, I did end up painting the window cranks and interior door handles, that was all. There is a sticker sheet instead of the old decals which is nice when putting together a kit this old. Decals after years begin to fall apart when they get wet. These stickers are completely pliable.
The fact that it's a snap together kit is nice but I still glue the parts. I had snap fit models years ago when I was young and, over the years, parts would come loose and fall off. So gluing is always best. However, only a few spots will do it nicely.
So, let's get started...
